Please find my last newsletter for Glenmar Shellfish for 2010.

With all the financial upheavals in the world it's seems a miracle any one can survive, survive we did and perhaps more optimism can be seen for 2011. And as always the Glenmar team is optimistic for the coming year.

We close the year with no prawn stocks probably the first time in our history of producing. It would appear this is the same across the board in the fishing industry. The recent introduction of catch certification also seems to have the effect of tightening supplies Glenmar Shellfish is committed to providing a hands on approach to our customers providing up to date information on catching pricing availability and quality. To that aim Glenmar Shellfish will now conduct all sales in Spain and France directly from our head office. This new sales changes is been headed by company Sales Director Diarmuid O’Donovan who is involved in the day to running of the company . Please contact him on diarmuid@glenmarshellfish.com  and on 00353872573301. This change will ensure you the customer will have direct information on matters to prawn production and South African products.

As always all fresh sales are conducted by Anthony Walsh also director of Glenmar Shellfish please contact him on anthony@glenmarshellfish.com.  Glenmar Shellfish now has 24 vessels landing direct to us on top of this we are pleased to inform you we have three frozen at sea prawn vessels landing also directly.

In 2011 it's Glenmar Shellfishes aim to move to the higher end of the market by increasing further direct landings of fob and maximize the top end of the market  producing frozen for fresh prawns where we have seen considerable growth.

We are now in a position to have a constant supply of dry and glazed scampi meat to cater for all your needs. This product is produced only to the very highest standard. Please contact Diarmuid for further information .
